Accuplacer Reading Exam or completion of ENG 091 with a grade of C or higher

Must be taken before class begins. Must obtain a minimum raw ACCUPLACER score of 65 to enroll in NUR 100.

Accuplacer Math Exam or completion of Math 100, BUS 111 or higher

Must be completed before class begins. Must obtian an ACCUPLACER score of 41 or higher to enroll in NUR 100.

You may not be eligible for licensing in the State of Arizona if you have any felony convictions and have not received an absolute discharge 3 or more years before submitting your State application. If you have any questions, please check with AZBN before enrolling at 1-602-771-7800.

Prescreening Background Questionnaire

Given the first day of class.  Will review events older than 5 years.

TB test

TB test results are only valid for one year. The expiration date of the TB test must be after the last day of the semester for which you attend. Available at Gila County Health Dept. Provide results by start of Skill Labs.

6.

CPR

Must obtain or have a current CPR card effective through the end of the course - Health Care Provider Level “C” from AHA. Classes available at Gila Community College, local hospital, fire department or Payson Care Center. No Online courses permitted. Provide card by start of Skill Labs.                                                                                                                                                                        

7.

MMR and Hepatitis B

Students must provide proof of MMR and Hepatitis B vaccinations or sign declination. Provide proof by start of Skill Labs.

 8.

Attendance

Must attend 65 hours of lecture, 30 hours of Skill Lab and 42 hours of Clinicals to remain in the program.

9.

Skill Lab and Clinical time  availability for  classes

Morning Class- Skills labs and Clinical days are M-W-F and are typically scheduled for  6:00 am- 10:00 am.
Evening Class- Skill Labs typically start at 8 or 1 on Saturday. Clinical days can be any day Wed through Saturday and are  typically scheduled between 6:00 am-4:00 pm.
